New flavour for October – Milka Strawberry Brownies

When I went away on my holiday to Crete in September, I didn’t expect to find inspiration for a new brownie flavour. However I noticed some Milka chocolate in flavours that I’ve never spotted at home in the supermarket… including Strawberry. At first I wasn’t too sure what it would be like so I bought a bar to try. My verdict – absolutely delicious! It reminded me of the old fashioned Milk Tray chocolate with a strawberry soft centre, but much much better. That sample bar didn’t last very long!

I thought it would work so well chopped up in the brownies that I purchased a few bars to bring home. I was quite right, the Milka Strawberry brownies are a triumph, I’m really pleased with how they turned out. Each brownie contains a chopped up square of the chocolate and it is baked inside. The flavour gives the brownie a slight tang of strawberry, but it is subtle and not overpowering in any way.

This flavour will be available until the end of October so make sure you don’t miss out if you want to try Milka Strawberry brownies. Of course this is just one of seventeen yummy flavours, and you can choose three other flavours to go alongside it in your box. I think Milka Strawberry would work well in a pack with chocolate orange, plain and maybe cherry brownies as the final fruity choice.
